Brainstorming
Before the Conference
Before the conference, the selected participants will be asked to describe the challenges they encounter when using AI in their fields, including teaching, research, outreach, etc. This brainstorming phase will take the form of a questionnaire, likely to be distributed between the end of May and mid-June.
During the Conference
During the conference, a dedicated session will address the issues emerging from this preliminary brainstorming phase, with the aim of producing a collaboratively authored set of responsible-use guidelines to support transparent, critical, and disciplined engagement with AI in the study of ancient languages and scripts.
After the Conference
These guidelines will be published either as a white paper or as a scholarly publication (to be determined).
The ultimate goal is to foster a community of researchers working on shared methodological challenges across different ancient languages and scripts, and to encourage collaboration that continues beyond the conference itself.
